What the tester checks
It runs a short set of rules we use when we package episodes for clients. It cannot judge a face or a picture, only the words, so treat the result as a checklist and not a score you must beat.
For the thumbnail line
- Length. About six words works best. More than that gets small and hard to read on a phone.
- A reason to stop. Speaking to the viewer (“you” or “your”), asking a question, using a number or naming something they are losing gives people a reason to stop scrolling.
For the video title
- Length. Titles longer than about 70 characters get cut off in search and on phones.
- It adds to the thumbnail. The thumbnail earns the click. The title explains what is in the video, so it should not repeat the thumbnail.
- It says what the viewer will get. Starting with how, why, what or a number makes the promise clear.
- It names a doubt or a stake. Words like “even if” or “without” make a title sound like it answers a real question.
- The keyword comes early. If you add your topic word, it checks that it appears in the first few words, where people searching will notice it.
How to use your result
Fix the lines marked with an exclamation mark or a cross, using the suggestion under each one, then test again. Use Copy for Claude if you want help writing alternatives. Nothing you type is saved or sent.
